Cassidy grew up hiking, camping, and enjoying outdoor spaces in the mountains of Colorado. She studied and swam at the University of Utah. In 2020, she graduated with B.S. degrees in Environmental and Sustainability Studies and Geography with a certificate in Climate Change. During her undergrad, she was hired as a research assistant for two different archival data projects researching fire and ecological histories through sediment core sampling as well as historic climatic data through dendrochronology from Bristlecone Pine cores. Post-college, she worked as a seasonal field ecologist in southern Utah, collecting data for the BLM Assessment, Inventory, and Monitoring (AIM) program. She also worked a field season as an avian bioacoustic monitoring field technician in northern California on a California Spotted Owl conservation project for the University of Wisconsin. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, climbing, camping, whitewater rafting, scuba diving, and anything outdoors with good company. She finds purpose in conservation work and is excited to expand her wildlife and ecology knowledge in such a beautiful place!
