EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Helen Raine, a conservation project management expert, leads initiatives worldwide. Notable projects include wetlands habitat conservation in Hawaiʻi, seabird conservation in Kauaʻi, and the EU LIFE Yelkouan Shearwater Project in Malta. An accomplished writer, she holds an MSc in Conservation.

Marc, with a decade of research, focuses on avian collision prevention with innovative solutions. His work spans global island research on seabirds and taxa, pioneering powerline monitoring and studying climate change impacts on wildlife health.

Scott Driskill
SPATIAL DATA ANALYST
Scott excels in spatial ecology, wildlife biology, GIS, and data management, with a focus on Hawaiʻi's endangered seabirds. His expertise includes managing spatial and non-spatial seabird monitoring data and landscape-level spatial data modeling resulting in scientific publications and conservation efforts.

Jen, a seasoned birder, holds a B.Sc. in Biology and Wildlife Ecology. With 15 years of ornithological field experience, she specializes in seabird ecology. Co-authoring for the American Birding Association, she's passionate about conservation and Hawaiian culture.

FIELD CREW LEAD - IMMP
Karim, a Doris Duke Conservation Scholar, holds a B.A. in Ecosystems and Human Impact from Stony Brook University. His passion for conservation led him from New York's coastline to neglected wetlands in Utah before returning to his coastal roots in Kauaʻi to work with endangered seabirds.

Mike, with over a decade of experience in ecological research and conservation worldwide, holds an MSc from San Jose State University. Passionate about utilizing emerging technologies, he focuses on endangered seabird and wetland conservation in Hawaiʻi as a Conservation Specialist at ARC.

Joey, a multimedia designer at ARC, blends 20 years of design and video artistry with fifteen years of wildlife field research focusing on Hawaiian species. As an active member of the Wild Lens Collective, he co-directs and edits environmental films. -

Adrian, a Binghamton University graduate, is dedicated to wildlife conservation. From Arctic tundra birds to Hawaiian colonies, he brings fieldwork experience to ARC's seabird colonization project, blending passion with practical conservation efforts. -
Kylie Smith
SEABIRD TECHNICIAN
Kylie is a passionate environmentalist with a BA in Environmental Studies and a Grad Certificate in Science Illustration. Experienced in diverse roles including science illustration, outdoor education, and bird research. Enthusiastic about nature, puzzles, painting, and roller derby. -
Keane Sammon
SEABIRD TECHNICIAN
Keane, a biology graduate from Hendrix College, explores wildlife conservation globally. His journey from Texas frosted elfin butterflies to South African seabirds led him to Save Our Shearwaters in Kauaʻi, where he works with native Hawaiian seabird species. -
Phil Keefe
SEABIRD TECHNICIAN
Phil Keefe, a 2023 University of New Hampshire Wildlife and Conservation Biology graduate, dedicated seasons to common loon conservation in New Hampshire and northern spotted owl monitoring in Southern Oregon. Now, he joins ARC to safeguard vulnerable seabirds.

Jillian, a Wildlife B.S. graduate from Humboldt State University, explores diverse ecosystems globally. From small mammals to seabirds in Alaska, she conducted research and surveys, fostering a love for nature. Now, she eagerly pursues seabird conservation in warmer climates like Kauai.
