JILLIAN SOLLER – SEABIRD TECHNICIAN
Jillian graduated with a B.S. in Wildlife from Humboldt State University (now Cal Poly Humboldt) in 2015. Since then, she has enjoyed traveling and working on a variety of seasonal wildlife positions around the world. Her diverse interests led her to study small mammals, wolves, arctic waterfowl, tropical passerines, and most recently, seabirds in Alaska. She spent 5 years in Alaska, where she developed a love for cross-country skiing, knitting, and, most importantly, seabirds! She enjoyed monitoring seabird colonies on remote islands for the Alaska Maritime National Wildlife Refuge and conducting boat-based murrelet surveys in Kenai Fjords National Park for The Alaska Sealife Center. She is excited to relocate to warmer temps and continue her passion for seabirds as a technician on the Colony Crew at ARC. She plans on filling her weekends on Kauai with SCUBA, birding, and hiking.
