JORDAN KIM – SEABIRD TECHNICIAN

Jordan grew up with a deep love for the outdoors and a passion for nature's beauty, which inspired him to pursue a career in environmental conservation. He earned his B.S. in Forestry and Natural Resources from California Polytechnic University - San Luis Obispo in 2022. Before coming to the island, Jordan worked for the East Bay Regional Park District in California, maintaining parks and teaching fishing, camping, and boating to local communities. He developed an affinity for ornithology after interning with the US Fish and Wildlife, where he worked to monitor and protect nesting habitat for endangered least terns, near-threatened elegant terns, and caspian tern colonies. Jordan is committed to the conservation of the environment and nature so that future generations have the chance to be inspired in the same way he was.
