KYLIE SMITH– SEABIRD TECHNICIAN
Kylie is passionate about the natural world and loves studying the critters that live in it. She earned a B.A. in Environmental Studies from UC Santa Cruz and a Graduate Certificate in Science Illustration from CSU Monterey Bay, which have led her to some wonderful experiences. She has been employed as a science illustrator, outdoor educator, kayak guide, farmer, succulent designer, and has worked with birds such as the Rhinoceros Auklet and California Condor (which she thinks are quite cute). Being a self-proclaimed bird nerd, Kylie is excited to continue working with ARC after joining the colony crew in 2023. Outside of being in the mountains for work, she loves puzzles, board games, painting, gardening, and roller derby.
